Episode 191 -- Is nothing sacred?

With recent news in Walt Disney World, it's time to consider what makes WDW what it is.  This week's topic is about what is sacred, if anything actually is.  The Listener Interaction Satchel contains responses to Burgan-a-mania, If I ran the zoo, Russ rants, Die Hard in the Great Movie Ride, and Easter brunch ideas.

  1. I was thinking about your "nothing sacred" show and realized that probably the most sacred attraction in all four gates would be the Hall of Presidents.
I don't think it's all that popular, and I'm sure Disney wouldn't mind using that space with something that requires less upkeep and eats more guests per hour.
But, if you were to close the Hall of Presidents - when would you do it?
Let's say that they decide to close the attraction after Obama's run, and put in something that would appeal to the 5-year-old princess set.
No matter which party wins the presidency - can you imagine the uproar of "political bias" that would surround the idea of closing the attraction rather than including our next president?
It'd be cheaper to make a new animatronic and throw it in there behind Abraham Lincoln than deal with that kind of furor.
Love the show - Rob from Ohio
