BIG BOARD for Fall 2014 Draft

BIG BOARD after the jump....

Combatant's motion to change team name and add an indispensable party

John Kivus ("John"), owner of team "Kivusmanjaro Safari" ("Team")
respectfully moves to rename the Team as follows:

1. John is a super huge fan of Mighty Men of Mouse. Upon hearing of the
Mighty Men of Mouse 2014 Attraction Draft ("Draft"), John
enthusiastically emailed the Commissioner requesting to join the Draft.

2. Upon hearing about the Draft, Elyssa Kivus ("Elyssa"), John's wife,
suggested that a husband and wife team by the name of "Kivus and
Butthead" ("Super Awesome Team Name") would be the "cat's pajamas" (NOT

3. John rejected Elyssa's suggestion of the Super Awesome Team Name
without consulting with the Commissioner as to the Draft rules related
to husband and wife teams.

4. John's conduct is an example of excusable neglect.

5. Other teams in the Draft currently have husband and wife owners.

6. The second round of the Draft has not yet completed.

7. This motion is not being made for unnecessary delay or to confuse
other league participants.

WHEREFORE, John respectfully moves that the Commissioner:

(i) Update the name of the Team to be "Kivus & Butthead"; and

(ii) As the Commissioner deems appropriate, address any correspondence
related to the Draft via email and twitter to both John (@kivus, and Elyssa (@elyssashark,

John Kivus
MMoM Fan Number 1326

This matter having come before the Commissioner, the Commissioner having
read and considered the motion, and it appearing based on said motion
and other matters before the Commissioner that good cause exists for
granting the motion, it is hereby ORDERED that (i) the team currently
known as "Kivusmanjaro Safari" shall henceforth be known as "Kivus &
Butthead" and (ii) as Commissioner deems appropriate, any email or
twitter correspondence related to the Mighty Men of Mouse 2014
Attraction Draft shall be addressed to both John (@kivus, and Elyssa (@elyssashark,

The Less than Honorable, Dutch Lombrowski

Yet More Dutch Rulings

1. With the Wild Africa Trek - what do I get? Its on the safari but a different experience and different ride vechiles or do I just get the walk thru part? Also, they give you lunch, is it a lunch?

DUTCH RULING: You get the whole thing, including the snacks. It doesn't count as a meal.

2. What about the Sunrise safari - also goes thru the safari but a different experience, its not just a rehash of the ride. Also, half of it is a major breakfast buffet, is this a "meal"?

DUTCH RULING: Since it uses the same vehicle as Kilimanjaro Safari, it is not eligible at this point.

3. Same question about the evening AKL safari - that's a full blown Jiko meal is that a dinner or experience?

DUTCH RULING: The Sunset Tour is eligible for drafting as a meal at Jiko. The vehicle is not the same as Kilimanjaro Safari, so it shouldn't be disqualified on those grounds. The safari portion of the meal can be thought of the same way as the show portion of the Hoop Dee Doo.

4. is the Four Seasons in play?

5. does the suite in Cinderella's castle count as my hotel?

Supplemental Draft Rulings

QUERY 1:  Just as a point of clarification, it we chose the Polynesian per say, do we get it in current condition(construction walls) or a point in time (before or after construction)?

DUTCH RULING:  You can specify a point in time for a hotel.  If you opt for a particular point in time, however, you are bound to that time for all facets of your hotel stay.  For example, if you select the 1973 version of the Poly, you don't get a modern hotel room.

QUERY 2: Has there already been a ruling as draft-ability of restaurants? ADR means its draft-able? To clarify…what about The Fountain? One of the Wolf Gang puck places?
DUTCH RULING:  Any restaurant that is within the bounds of Walt Disney World is in play, including those listed in the question.  Even the McDonald's near Animal Kingdom would be draftable.   The only caveat is that it must offer the meal your are drafting it for (i.e. you can't draft Cosmic Rays for breakfast) and it must have entrees (i.e. can't have a Dole Whip and call it lunch).

MMOM Fall 2014 Draft Rulings Contd.

GENERAL DUTCH RULING:  The new Four Seasons is undraftable.  Ditto for Cinderella's Castle Suite. Only Disney hotels are draftable.  As a reminder the standard for a hotel is that it have its own front desk.

QUERY 1: Quick question -- are we required to consider transit time and/or the hassle associated with choosing experiences that are geographically distant from each other?  For example, if I were to be staying at AKL, do all of my meals at EPCOT and have all of my attractions at MK, am I going to get dinged for creating an itinerary that would be a colossal pain in the ass in the real world?  Does it make any difference if the day we're constructing wouldn't actually be feasible?

DUTCH RULING:  Transit time is not a negative factor.

Per the last paragraph of the rules, a Rose and Crown ADR will not get illuminations credit. What about experiences that include attractions and meals? For example: the Fantasmic dinner package. Would that count as both the meal and an attraction? Meaning the person who picked this gets an extra pick? Would other participants be excluded from picking both the restaurant and the show?

DUTCH RULING:  The Fantasmic Dinner Package would not be eligible for drafting.

What I'm getting at is that I want to pick one of the new "Ultimate" VIP tours. These include 10+ attractions and lunch at whispering canyon. In my mind this would count as one of my attraction picks, but would also fulfill one of my meal requirements. Therefore I would potentially get an extra pick. Or would I need to take whispering canyon as one of my layer picks for it to count for my lunch that day? I do not think this should exclude others from taking any of the individual attractions.

DUTCH RULING:  All tours are draftable.  The one caveat is that any tour drafted would exclude all other draftable items.  For instance, if you drafted the Steam Train Tour, your pick would include the tour and everything that comes with it EXCEPT the actual ride on the steam train.
